He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronnie Dale and Elva Naomia Benfield Woody; and his grandparents, William, Mildred Woody, Hoke and Lockie Benfield.
He is survived by: his children, Haley Woody of Ft. Myers and Heath Woody of Avery County, NC; his sister Rhonda Woody Whitehead (Tony Whitehead Roan); his niece Savannah Smith (Gordon Smith) of Elizabethton Tn; his nephew Lucas Whitehead; his great-nephew Witten Whitehead of Roan Mtn; his caregiver Julie Hughes; and his pet Booger. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
