He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bosler Baird (Charlie) and Virginia Banner Baird (Virgie); and his brothers, Charles Baird (Bill) and Johnny Baird. He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Lutz (Boyte) of Shelby, NC and Guy Baird (Ingrid) of Pittsboro, NC.; his wife Betty Jean Daniels; his children, Peggy Baird of Newland, Jim Baird (Vickie) of Fall Branch, TN, Ben Baird (Bev) of Newland and Patricia Potter (Norm) of Lewisville, NC.; his grandchildren, Daniel Baird, Sarah Shipp (Jeremy), David Baird (Tiffany), Katherine Johnson (Joe), Jeremiah Baird, Hannah (Shae), Isaac Baird (Cameron), Rebekah Baird, Whitney Vance (Blake), Nicole South (Derek), Seth Baird (Casey), Meredith Potter, James Potter and Stephen Potter (Kasey); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, James, Verity, Grace Shipp, Lucy Johnson, Elijah, Atlas, Selah J South and Wilder Betsy Baird.
