It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Johnson Banner (Newland, North Carolina), who passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her extended family Mary Lou; her grandparents, Marcus Brownlow and Elizabeth Baird Hughes; her parents, Jete Johnson and Louise Hughes Johnson; her siblings, Bernice Fowler, Nelle Wetmore, Ralph, Bruce and Robert Johnson; her daughter Louise (Mary); and also, Elizabeth Baird Hughes, Louise, Peggy Anne Rice, Jean Johnson, Lib Greene, Tom (Carol) and Rock Hall. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, and nephews and other cousins.
