It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Nelson of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henson and Minnie Ollis Henson; her husband Jack William Nelson; her son Timothy Nelson; her siblings, Lucy Mode, Bernice McGee, Herman Charles Henson and Paul Henson; her granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Nelson; and her son-in-law Glenn Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Donna McClellan (Matthew) of Linville Falls, NC, Keith Nelson (Tabatha) of Newland, NC, Stephen Nelson (Lisa) of Jonas Ridge, NC and Mickey Daniels of Newland, NC; her daughter-in-law Janet Nelson of Pineola; her grandchildren, Autumn Nelson-Miller, Charli Nelson, Sara Nelson, MKayla Nelson, Zachary Nelson and Kadence Nelson; her great grandchild Colton Lane Baird; and her niece Ann Woods.
