We bid farewell to Lucy Maxine Saunders of Newland, North Carolina, born in Richlands, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2024 at the age of 75. Lucy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Worley Ingle and Ruth Eliza Hess Hubbard; her husband Frazier Stanley Saunders; her son Daniel Wayne Saunders; and her son-in-law Stephen Presnell.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Shelton (Darrell), Sabrinia Presnell, Michael Wayne Saunders, Stanley Ray Saunders (Irene) and Hannah Saunders; and her siblings, Dean Hubbard and Mary Hurt. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
