He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Osborne and Effie Jones Osborne; his stepson Jimmy Gilpin; his grandson Dillon Gilpin; and his siblings, Raymond Osborne, Lucille Bumgarner and Louella Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Johnson Osborne; his daughter Tracey Buchanan (Thomas) of Newland; his stepsons, Daniel Gilpin (Carol) of South Carolina and Matthew Gilpin (Nichole) of Newland; and his sisters, Lina Dayton of Spruce Pine and Particia Pittman (Phil) of Spruce Pine. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the White's Memorial Baptist Church (100 White Ln, Newland, NC 28657). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
