She is survived by: her husband Timothy Buchanan; her daughter Cindy Smerdon (Dan) of Gate City, VA; her grandchildren, Logan Short, Devin Smerdon and Sylar Short; and her siblings, Mike Brown of Elk Park, NC, Bobby Brown of Elk Park, NC, Helen Brown of Cranberry, NC and Jane Banner (Allan) of Newland, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
