He was predeceased by: his parents, Ettle Johnson and Rose Biggs Johnson (Juanita Dunkin Johnson); and his siblings, Edith Smith, Anna Lee Dean, Florence Vance, Toots Hall, Lucille Oaks, Vivian Stamey, Albert Johnson, Jim Johnson and Jack Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Jodie Turbyfill (Steve) of Newland, Mike Johnson (Cindy) of Newland and David Johnson (Jeanette) of Newland; his grandchildren, Tabby Brewer (Darren), Stefanie Clark (Arthur), Melanie Turbyfill, Paige Johnson (Tyler Roach), Joey Johnson, Jacob Johnson (Alisha) and Luke Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Connor Johnson, Bode Brewer, Sebastian Clark, Tate Brewer and Leah Johnson.
