He is survived by: his wife Marcella Clark Hicks; and his children, Fredia Woodring of Elk Park, NC, Melissa Hicks of Mountain City, TN, Marsha Riddle (Keith) of Chuckey, TN, Rhonda Reynolds of Kingsport, TN and James Hicks (Thirteen) of Newland, NC. He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
