It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Ruth Bowman of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph E. Bowman, Jr.; her parents, Ernest English and Edith English; and her siblings, Joyce Carpenter, Shirley Hunnicutt, Mildred Caminiti, Jack and Charles English.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Bowman of Spruce Pine and Randal Bowman of Linville; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Bowman of Linville and Daniel Bowman of Jonas Ridge; her great grandchildren, Henry and Huxley Bowman of Linville; and her sister Linda Hanna of Linville.
