It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Phillips (Newland, North Carolina), who passed away on July 4, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Jess Aaron; and her siblings, Isabelle Ballew, Susie Wiseman, Joe Wiseman, Ralph Wiseman, Jessie Tom Wiseman and Mack Thomas Wiseman.
She is survived by: her parent Sadie Aldridge Wiseman; her sons, Alvin Phillips of Newland, Malachi Phillips of Newland and Rex Andrew Phillips of Newland; and her siblings, Beulah Carpenter of Newland, Betty Thomas (Phil) of Bakersville, Emma Boone (Paul) of Newland and Robert N. Wiseman (Millie) of Newland.
