He is survived by: his sister Marlene Clark; his stepmother Wilma Holtzclaw Norwood; his sisters, Retha Bentley of Lenoir, Cathy Wilcox of Icard, Shirley Barrier of Old Fort, Claudine Norwood of Icard and Georgia Collins of Mt. Airy; and his brother-in-law Paul Sluder.
