She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Vales Perez and Della Elizabeth Benfield; her brother Alfred "Joe" Benfield; and her half-brother Alfilio Vales Garcia. She is survived by: her husband Harold Gragg; her daughters, Lisa Smith (Mark) of Hickory, NC and Christy Murdock (Eric) of Kannapolis, NC; her sisters, Gail Smith of Newland, NC and June Smith of Morganton, NC; her grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Bryson Smith, Hayden Murdock, Mason Murdock and Erica Murdock; and her nieces and nephews, Jimmy McCracken, Luis Benfield, Shane Benfield, Manolo Vales, Annabella Cole and Kim Smith.
