He was predeceased by: his parents, Pleze Banner, Sr. and Carmel Kincaid Banner; his siblings, Louise Banner, Clarence, David and Sam Banner; and his son-in-law Lee Holtsclaw.
He is survived by: his wife Pansy Pyatte Banner of Newland, NC; his children, Christine Vance of Newland, Cheryl Ann Holtsclaw of Minneapolis, Michael Banner (Barbara) of Marion, Kenneth Banner (Lora) of Stanley and Stephen Banner (Pam) of Marion; and his siblings, Dorothy Parlier (Mack), Pleze Banner, Jr. of Newland, Don Banner (Doris) of Maiden and Gary Banner (Donna) of Newland. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Forest Home Community Church.
