He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Leroy Loftin Sr. and Isabella Elena Carnes Loftin; his wife Martha Carpenter Loftin; his son Clarence Leroy Loftin III; his siblings, Vertie Loftin Cox, James Loftin and Don Loftin; and his granddaughter Shanna Mullins.
He is survived by: his children, Angel L. Thomas (Larry) of Belmont, NC, Carolyn L. McAbee of Crouse, NC, Karen L. Carter of Kings Mountain, NC and Cynthia L. Young of Gastonia, NC.; his stepchildren, Robyn Wooten Shipes of Mt. Holly, NC and Paul Dean Wooten Jr. (Connie) of Mt. Holly, NC; his sisters, Le Jean L. Barker Wyatt of Mt. Holly, NC and Margaret L. Thomasson Rankin of Stanley, NC; and his close friend Henry L. Beck. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn West Cemetery (4601 Freedom Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208).
