She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt Rowden and Jewel McClinton Rowden; her husband James Hastings, Sr.; and her brother Coleman Rowden. She is survived by: her children, James W Hastings Jr. (Marylen) of Newland, NC, Dennis Hastings of Newland, NC and Cindy Hastings (Tom Verplank) of Ponce Inlet, FL; her stepson Michael Hastings (Jane Estreicher) of Linville, NC; her grandchildren, Aaron Hastings, Damon Hastings, Ryan Hastings, Shane Winchester and Sara Winchester; and her great grandchildren, Bryce Winchester, Jewel Winchester and Kennedi Winchester.
