He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Wright and Della Benfield; and his parents-in-law, Luis Felipe and Esperanza Sarti. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Maria Sarti Benfield; his children, Annabella Cole (Brian), Luis A Benfield (Natalie) and Shane Benfield (Abbey); his grandchildren, Adrianna, Cierra Cole, Elijah, Jude, Reese and Charlotte Benfield; his sisters, Donna Gragg (Harold), Gail Smith, Joyce Bumgarner (Jeff) and June Smith (Tim); and his cousins, Harry Benfield, Jr. and Gary Benfield. He is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews and cousins.
