Nellie Dixon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Dixon of New London, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Cecil and Mary Cecil Thompson; her husband Burl Benjamin Dixon; and her siblings, Clarence Cecil Jr., Hattie Louise Cecil, Mildred Lily Mae Welborn, Bertha Irene Cecil Thompson and Leona Myrtle Cecil Dennis.
She is survived by: her children, Burl David Dixon Sr. of New London, NC and Joyce Marie Dennis (David) of Albemarle, NC; her sister Ruby Louise Thompson; her pet Charlie; and her friend Johnnie Ray Eury. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital of Charlotte, Shriner's Hospital, or Trinity Place.
