He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lumas "Bud" Hinson Sr. and Cora Magdalene Hinson Hinson; his siblings, Richard Lumas Hinson, Jr. and Annie Jane Hinson Stamper; and his nieces, Donna Stamper and Janet Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brooks Hinson; his children, Lynn Michelle and Kevin Efird of New London; his granddaughter Misty Tanner of Tennessee; his niece Sherri Blackmon of Aquadale; his nephews, Roger Hinson of Badin and Chris Stamper of Locust; and his close friends, Samantha Wilson, Debbie Springer, Lisa Wright, Jeff Boones and Judy Parnell. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
