He was predeceased by: his parents, Earlie Walker, Sr. and Arzona Mitchell; his former wives, Sarah Atkinson and Kay Godfrey Mitchell; his children, Joseph Earl Mitchell and Kayland Godfrey Mitchell; and his siblings, Gennie Mae Pierce, Benson, Caley, Laddie and Homer Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Mitchell (Ann) of Sanford, Little Earlie Mitchell (Maggie) of New Hill and Tonya Brewer (Chris) of Moncure; and his grandchildren, Brandi Shackleford (Josh), Jonathan Mitchell, Kristy Johnson (Josh), Kasey Morgan, Lantz Mitchell (Leah) and Bridgett Mitchell. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
