He is survived by: his close friend Pamela Q. J. Andre of New Bern; his daughters, Megan J. Rose and Caroline J. Bounds of Goldsboro, N. C.; and his grandchildren, Christopher F. Dunaway of Goldsboro, Martha C. Rose of Goldsboro and William N. Rose of Goldsboro.
