He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Careway, Jr. and Evelyn L. Careway; and his sister Dollie C. Reed. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Tonya (Jeremy), Zachery, Taimi (Paul), Amanda, Charlie and Nicholas; and his siblings, James W. Careway, III (Lynda) and Gwen Parish (Steve). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
