The memory of William Mitchell of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2024 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Bayard Mitchell and Dorothy Ford Champion. He is survived by: his close friends, Carlyle, Sandridge, Rice, Winston Salem and Simon (D. C.); his wife Etteinne; his children, William Graham Mitchell (Havila), Margaret Mitchell Flatley and Morgan Benjamin Andreiev (Jenna); his grandchildren, Nathan Flatley, Allison Mitchell, Mason Mitchell and Miles Mitchell; and his brother Burley Bayard Mitchell, Jr. (Lou).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (320 Pollock St, New Bern, NC 28560).

In lieu of flowers, Champ would prefer to be remembered through donations to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain.
