He was predeceased by: his wife Tess Carolyn Russell Luper; his son Russell Grey Luper; his siblings, Ruth Luper Martin, Thomas Calvin Luper and Raymond Elmore Luper; and his half-brother Grey Cahoon.
He is survived by: his children, Creek, William Donald Luper, Jr. (Susan) and Jonathon Gold Luper (Karen); his grandchildren, Will Luper (Joanna), Ashley Romig (Scott), Dana Luper and Jessica Kimmel; and his great grandchildren, William Luper, Alexander Luper, Abraham Romig and Eleanor Romig.
