He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Sue Hartwig of New Bern; his children, Kayla Hartwig of Aurora and Steven Hartwig of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Jadon, Skylar, Xander, Jaxon, Madison and Easton; his siblings, Debbie Garcia of Clovis, NM, Vicky Turnage, Jerry Turnage of New Bern, Cynthia Kupec, Chad Flory of New Bern, Edwin "Pete" Hartwig of New Bern, Susan Paulson of New Bern and James "Buster" Hartwig of New Bern; his father Glenn Hartwig; and his siblings, David Hartwig and Bobbie Hartwig. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
