It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter F. W. Heerwig (New Bern, North Carolina), born in Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on December 14, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Martorelli (Gennaro) and Marlene Lynch (Sean); his grandchildren, Klaus, Steven, Jaclyn, April, Breanna, Erica, Kris, Lexi and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Kali, Kinley, Kaisley, Levi and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walter's name may be made to the CarolinaEast Health Foundation as a "thank you" for all of the care they gave him.
