She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Barber; and her son C. B. Barber. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Barber Bowman (David) of Midlothian, VA and Debbie Barber Hostetter (Michael) of Wendell, NC; her stepdaughter Darlene Riley (Clarence) of Ashland, KY; her grandchildren, Ben Bowman (Melissa), Nathan Bowman, Joshua Hostetter (Emily), Luke Hostetter and Annie Hostetter Horrigan (Andy); her stepgranddaughter Kim Ratliff Sanson; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Bowman, Hudson Bowman, Jack Horrigan and Nora Horrigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to First Christian Church in Ashland, Kentucky, Broad Street Christian Church in New Bern, NC, Woodlake United Methodist Church in Midlothian, VA or Premier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (activity department) in Jacksonville, NC.
