It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vickie Haithcock Cumbo of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her son Nicholas Cumbo (Jill) of Pollocksville; her siblings, Carol Thomas (Jimmy) of New Bern, Dianne Hirko (John) of New Bern, Linda Povich (Peter) of New Bern and Mike Haithcock (Rosemary) of Lynchburg; her friend Kennon Cumbo; and her close friends, Jay Fodrie and Cheryl Turner. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Vickie's name to the Brain Trauma Foundation (braintrauma.org/donate).
