He was predeceased by: his parents, Floy Murphy (Shaver) and Basil Murphy; and his brother Max Burton Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Lupton Murphy; his daughters, Tiffany and Tara Saprony Evanston (Tom); his stepsons, Sean Lupton Mt (Emily), Tenn and Brian Lupton (Teri Jo) of Creswell, Oregon.; his grandchildren, Lauren, Sydney Lupton and Joshua Setter; and his siblings-in-law, Rosalie Murphy and Edward Winslow (Anne).
