He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy; his parents, Lewis G. Ord and Helen E. Van Ord; and his grandparents, Kenneth, Fern Way, Lewis Van Ord Jr. and Eleanor M. Van Ord.

He is survived by: his children, Emilly Schubert (Matthew) of Havelock, NC, Kelly Titus (Ryan) of New Bern, NC, Steven M. Van Ord (Laura) of Frewsburg, NY and Jared A. Van Ord (Missie) of Russell, PA; and his siblings, Richard K. Van Ord (Kelly) of Tidioute, PA and Ruth A. Chase (Micheal) of Russell, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
