It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Jay Mottl of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Dansville, New York, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mottl and Ruth Mottl (Nesbitt). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Purdy Mottl of New Bern; his children, Pete Mottl (Megan Kenobbie), Ryan Mottl (Heather), Kevin Mottl (Katie) and Kiersten Spreen (Nick); his granddaughter Olivia Spreen; his sister Linda Mottl; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Wolfanger (Tim) and Cindy Jerome (Craig). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Face masks are required, and social distancing will be observed while at funeral home.
