Shirley Pridgen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Pridgen (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on May 5, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bernice Taylor and Kathleen Ball Taylor; her husband Lonnie E. Pridgen, Jr.; her children, Lonnie Stephen Pridgen and Terri Pridgen Lacy; her granddaughter Chloe Tetreault; and her siblings, Reva Taylor Vernelson, Teresa Ann Taylor and Walter Allen Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, W. Michael Pridgen and Ginnie Pridgen Tetreault of New Bern; her grandchildren, James Michael Pridgen (Elizabeth) of Raleigh, Nicholas Alexander Pridgen of New Bern and Kristen Sullivan of Durham; her great grandchildren, Ian Sullivan, Nadia Sullivan and Evan Taylor Pridgen; her siblings, Marshall Taylor (Jacqueline) of New Bern, Madie Taylor Moore of Raleigh and Dorothy Taylor Autry (Jerry) of Burgaw; and her niece Mary Martha Rose.
