She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaiah Willis and Vera Whitford Toler; her husband William Clayton; her brother Eugene Rendell (Olivia Thomas Toler); and her daughter-in-law Betsy Gaskins.
She is survived by: her sons, Stevie Gaskins (Colleen) and Ikie Gaskins (Myla); her grandchildren, Clayton (Michelle) of Askin, Michael (Jordan) of Winston Salem, Ike (Diane), Ben (Shanon) of Askin and Janet Gaskins of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Tristan, Sarah, Logan, Madison, Elizabeth, Bennett and Grayson; her great great grandchild Destiny; her niece Donna Waterman (Mark); and her cousin Patricia Eatmon.
