She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Carter Tisdale and Nellie Margaret Perkins Tisdale of New Bern; her great-grandparent William Tisdale; her sisters, Nellie Margaret Cordes and Mary Carter Connor; her children, Edward Vernon Ferrell III and Sarah Sloan (Lewis); and her grandsons, Lewis Sloan Jr., Edward Ferrell Sloan and Hayes Alexander Ferrell.
