She was predeceased by: her father Hugh Eborn; her husbands, Rev. Ernest P. Douthit and James Wooten; her brothers, Rev. Clyde I. Eborn, Hugh "Buck" Eborn and James "Jimmy" Ebron; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Lockwood, Howard Asby, Ted Penny and Chester Ortley.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Cameron (Joe) of Kinston and Paul Douthit (Sylvia) of New Bern; her siblings, Lillian Ortley of Benson, Laura Lockwood of Morehead City, Alice Asby of Morehead City, Linda Penny of Benson and Roy Eborn of New Bern; her sisters-in-law, Iris Elizabeth Eborn, Ann Ebron, Shelby Eborn and Pam Eborn; her grandchildren, Jon, Sheila, Chris, JoAnn and Stacy; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Auston, Antony and Isabella; and her great great grandchildren, Alice Rose and Evie Raine. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
