It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Michael Watson of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Lowland, North Carolina, who passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Omer and Mary Jane Ireland Watson; and his father-in-law William Haines Forlaw. He is survived by: his wife Anne Forlaw Watson; his children, Susan Watson Leary (Mark) and Marshall Glenn Watson (Stefanie) of New Bern; his grandchildren, Emma Leary, Clara Watson, Nathan Leary, Grant Leary, Haines Watson and Caleb Watson; his siblings, Gladys Irene Hopkins (Dale), Jane Carolyn Brown and Merritt Omer Watson, Jr. (Linda); his mother-in-law Maude Forlaw; and his siblings-in-law, Amelia Forlaw Surratt (John) and John William Forlaw.
