He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Ray and Sarah Frances Avery Andrews; his siblings, William Ray Andrews, John Charles "Charlie" Andrews and Sarah Ann Whitford; and his father-in-law Richard T. Boyd Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Sue Andrews; his daughters, Melissa Welker (Brad) and Megan Andrews; and his grandchildren, Ryan Andrews, Kristen "Nikki" Welker, Andrew McCausley and Helen Boyd. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
