He was predeceased by: his wife Reda; and his daughter Charlene. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jayci and Jake Smith of New Bern, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Arnold Minnix (Judy) of Oak Island, NC, June O'Donnell of Dallas, TX and Donna Ruby of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
