It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Rouse of New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on November 1, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurora C. Rouse and John Rouse; his siblings, Ellis Lupton Rouse, Charles Thomas Rouse, John Pierce Rouse, Julian Rouse, Virginia Howie, Gertrude Jenkins and Frances Joyner; and his stepson Raymond Franklin Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Alice M. Rouse; his sons, Preston Wade Rouse (Lynn) of New Bern and Robert Jeffrey Rouse (Stephanie) of Bridgeton; and his grandchildren, Christopher Rouse, Joseph Rouse (Melody) and Bethany Hales.
Due to COVID-19 there will be a graveside service 2:00 p. m. Thursday at The Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating.
In lieu of flowers it is requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
