It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Walter Wern (New Bern, North Carolina), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Wern; his children, Robert Wern of Rehobath Beach, Suzanne Martin (Mike), Mechanicsville, Diana Johnis Smithtown (Jim) and N. Y.; his stepson Alan Brooks Tuck of Roanoke; and his sisters-in-law, Grace Wern of Long Island, Elaine Drewry of Roanoke, Brenda Heuneman (Bob) of Chesapeake and Nancy Ferebee (Don) of Falls Church. He is also survived by 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters who presented him with 5 great grandchildren.
