She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Tunstall and Helen Tunstall; and her husband John Canady. She is survived by: her children, Bobby Canady (Sheila) and Melanie Johnston (Brian); her grandchildren, Brooke Fortson, Marcus Canady (Kate), Samantha Byrne, Ashton Johnston (Marisa) and Jessica Johnston; and her great grandchildren, Connor Fortson, Greyson Johnston, Peyton, Alanah Byrne, Benjamin Piera, Sophia Johnston and Henry Canady.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House.
