He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Taylor; and his siblings, Jimmy Taylor and Verna Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Dee Taylor; his daughter Parker Taylor; and his siblings, Kathy Zickefoose and Mike Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Randy's honor to the VFW Post 2514, which is located on 3850 Butler Road, New Bern, NC 28560.
