With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Thomas Morris of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Yancy and Leora Boswell Morris; his children, Patricia Roseman of Wilmington, Linda Helsabeck (Jim) of Winston-Salem and Dr. Jim Morris (Teresa) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Mark Roseman (Debbie), Michael Roseman (Evelina), Amanda H. Cochran (Marc), Julie Helsabeck, Yancy Morris (Heather) and Abby M. McKernan (Ross); his great grandchildren, Caroline Roseman, Catherine Roseman, Veronika Roseman, Nikolay Roseman, Lilly Cochran, Fischer Cochran, Greyson Cochran, Brody McKernan, Cole McKernan, Gray Morris and Pops'; his wife Elsie Stallings Morris; his brother James Y. Morris, Jr.; his son Ralph T. Morris, Jr.; his son-in-law Dr. Al Roseman; his nephew Stallings (Wendy); and his friends, Tom Bland and David Oliver. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a private family service to honor Ralph's life will be held this week at Garber United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Banks officiating.
