We bid farewell to Phyllis Marie (Hughes) Williams of New Bern, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 21, 2024 at the age of 83. Phyllis Marie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Phyllis Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phyllis Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband R. Graham Williams; her parents, Josiah Jeremiah Hughes and Bettie Marie Latham Hughes; her siblings, Johnnie Hughes, Josiah Hughes and Jennie Ailene Hughes; her daughter Amy Joan Williams; and her great grandchild Noah Graham Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Williams (Penny), Phyllis Pate (Tim) and Susan Robertson (Jerry). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riverdale United Methodist Church (5195 US-70, New Bern, NC 28562). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
