He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith and Erol. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa J. Bowie; his grandson Michael Bowie (Christina); his daughter Nina Suzette; his grandchildren, Matthew Robertson, Sarah Luxon, Evan Robertson and Joshua Alexander; his great grandchildren, Athena, Arlo and Nathan; his sister Nancy Daniels (Aaron Roberts); and his significant other Naomi Dixon of New Bern.

A memorial service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
