She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel E. Thompson and Ruby Tripp Thompson; and her siblings, Pansy Young and Clifton. She is survived by: her husband Buck Wooten; her daughters, Sandy Franks (Jesse) of New Bern, Susan Robinson (Tim) of Raleigh and Sharon Ward (Richard); and her grandchildren, Christopher Riggs (Alisha), Cody Franks (Laura), Stephen Robinson (Sheridan), Tracie Brown (Jason), Summer Bohm (David), Bryan Robinson (Jamie), Shelly Whitehead (Corey), Sharon Elizabeth Ward and Catherine Ward. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
