With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Otello Aldo Bassignani (New Bern, North Carolina), who passed away on February 24, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Michelle Bassignani; his son Mario John Bassignani; and his parents, Mario Bassignani and Venezia Bassignani (Riani). He is survived by: his children, Susan Wilson (William) of Stafford, VA and Aldo Bassignani of New Bern; his brother Elvi Bassignani of Jackson; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Eric Wilson, Caitlyn Gumbel, Jordan Field, Melissa and Kyle Bassignani.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609; or the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605; or to the Mario J. Bassignani Campership (sends underprivileged boys to Boy Scout Summer Camps). Donations can be made by sending a check (with Mario J. Bassignani Campership) to Aloha Council, 42 Puiwa Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817.
