We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2022, at the age of 91, Nelson Kenneth Thayer of New Bern, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Thayer and Sadie Thayer (Betty Jo Thayer); his daughter Cynthia Lingerfelt; and his brother Bert Thayer. He is survived by: his daughter Kim Thayer Hearne (Craig) of New Bern, NC; his sister Beverly Thayer Sisco (H. T.) of Tampa, FL; and his grandchildren, Tim Hearne, Branden Lingerfelt, Beth Lingerfelt Zeanah and Josh Hearne.
