She was predeceased by: her husband Willis "Bill" Tenney; her daughter Gayle Ferraiolo; her parents, Adrian Vernon and Rosemary Vernon; and her sisters, Lorraine Langdon and Adrienne "Dee" Whaley.

She is survived by: her daughter Carol Geremia (John Geremia); her granddaughters, Devon Ferraiolo and Alyssa Parry; and her great grandchildren, Bentley and Braden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Garber United Methodist Church, 4201 Country Club Road, New Bern, North Carolina 28562.
