With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Milton Sheffield of New Bern, North Carolina, born in Rose Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Milton Sheffield to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Devon Sheffield and Lee Anna Knowles Sheffield; his brother Willie Gray Sheffield; and his parents-in-law, Billy Pate and Sheen Pate Boykin.

He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Pate Sheffield; his children, Milton Sheffield (Sarah) of Indian Trail, NC, Kevin Swindell (Tammy) of Washington, NC and Dena Crout (Kevin) of Summerville, SC; his sister Judy Myrick of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Damian Swindell (Cecelia), Jacob Swindell (Ashley), Ryan Crout and Mason Crout; and his great grandchild Melody Swindell. He is also survived by many nephews and cousins.
